Joe Jackson got shut down

Following on the heels of his recent filing demanding support from his late son, Michael Jackson's estate, Jackson 5 patriarch, Joe Jackson, filed a motion claiming John McClain and John Branca should be removed as executors of Michael's estate. The elder Jackson claims his son believed Branca and McClain had defrauded him and accused the two administrators of conflicts of interest. Joe Jackson's attorney Brian Oxman said in a phone interview with the Associated Press that his client is allowed to challenge the executors as "an interested party who has the right to be an executor or personal representative." Michael Jackson's 2002 will left his entire estate to his three children and his mother with a portion going to support children's charities; the will omitted Joseph Jackson entirely.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said Joe Jackson could not challenge the executors of the estate. "I don't think he gets to step into this and create further litigation," the judge decreed. "Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made." He did, however say Joe Jackson could petition the court for an allowance from the estate since his son had been supporting him for many decades.
In a surprise move, the lawyer for Michael Jackson's mother and heir of his estate, Katherine Jackson, withdrew Mrs. Jackson's objection to the Branca and McClain as special administrators saying she felt they could "enhance the legacy of Michael Jackson in the best interest of his children." This reversal ends months of legal wrangling the executors from Mrs. Jackson and her adult children, however it swept the legs from beneath her husband's legal objection to their appointment. Mr. Jackson's attorney Oxman called the abrupt about face despicable and hinted at a possible lawsuit against his client's wife for her failure to support his motion.

Jemaine, don't take it personal...

But your ex-Alejandra Jackson filed a lawsuit against you because she claims you have stopped paying child support for your two kids, Jermajesty (can you imagine them sitting around for nine months and that's what they came up with?) and Jaffar. According to TMZ, Alejandra says that Jermaine claims that he only made $35,000 in 2008, yet owes $35,000 in child support although he still lives in a mansion and drives a Rolls,so he needs to get serious.
This situation does not tickle anyone's fancy.
Alexandra also claims that Jermaine's mother Katherine helps her out by giving her gift cards to Ralph's grocery store so that she can buy food for the boys.
Before you go too hard on Jermaine, she also has three kids with Randy who at one time WORKED at Ralph's. So, you still like me don't you?

Michael Jackson knew how to spot a golddigger
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, one of Michael Jackson's former spiritual advisors has been making the media rounds for the past two weeks to promote his latest exploitative moneygrubbing book detailing conversations he had with Michael.
According to tapes he made of these conversations, Boteach said Michael held women in high regard but at the same time was very suspicious of their motives; Michael had encountered many women who used their womanly wiles to manipulate the men around them:
Jackson: "Women can do some things that make guys very unhappy. I see it with my brothers. I see my brothers crying in tears and pulling the grass out of the lawn out of frustration because of their wives."
Boteach: "Do you think all their wives were interested more in their success than in them?"
Jackson: "Absolutely. They were after their money. That's why I said to myself, 'I'll never be married.' I held out the longest. I stayed at home until I was 27, 28."
Boteach: "What was part of the attraction to Lisa Marie? That she had her own money? She had her own fame. You knew it wasn't about any of that."
Jackson: "Absolutely. She didn't take a penny, didn't want anything."

La Toya opens up to Barbara Walters on 20/20
Michael Jackson's middle sister, La Toya Jackson appeared last night in an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20. La Toya gave a long and rambling interview full of controversial and sometimes inflammatory statements.
La Toya asserted again she thinks Michael was murdered and claims Michael told her, “La Toya, they’re going to murder me. If I die, they killed me.” She did not clarify who "they" were. Despite Michael's own statements about his estrangement from his abusive father, La Toya insists Michael and Joseph Jackson had repaired their relationship and that Michael's three children had a very good relationship with him.
As far as the children, La Toya says Katherine Jackson has made arrangements for the care of the children in the event of her passing, but she would not discuss those plans. She said even though Michael placed his friend Diana Ross second in line for guardianship of the children they do not know her at all; supposedly Ross and Mrs. Jackson have spoken about the guardianship issue, but said only Katherine knows the details of what was said.
Of course, La Toya took the time to speak about herself. She claims her ex-husband, Jack Gordon, used to lock her in a closet for eight hours at a time, and, said Walters, “forced her to pose for Playboy and several pornographic videos.” Snippets of La Toya's latest single aired during the interview.
La Toya said that Michael "looked fabulous," and that his body was clothed in white with lines of pearls across his jacket and a “big gold belt like a prizefighter would wear...his hair was done beautifully. His makeup was done beautifully.” She said he looked like he had paused to say a prayer just before going on stage to perform. Instead of one white glove, he was wearing two black leather gloves. He was, however, buried with a white sequined glove, shades, and notes and beads from his beloved children.
In a fitting closing, La Toya said of her younger brother, “He wasn't God, but he was godlike. He was the closest to a god that I know.”
ABC's report on the interview ends with a line that says La Toya requested they inform the public she was NOT paid for the interview.

Before there was Melyssa Ford or Karinne Steffans, there was Ola Raye
Before there was a Melyssa Ford or a Karinne Steffans (Ms. Superhead her self), there was Ola Ray. Ola Ray (no relation to LisaRay--I think), the original video girl is STILL harping that she didn't get paid for Thriller. Ola did what is perhaps the most famous 14 minute walk in the world, but she couldn't seem to walk over to the court house for 27 years. Her attorney filed documents in Los Angeles court claiming she is a creditor to Michael Jackson's estate. Ray claims she hasn't been paid royalties for the video and is seeking an unspecified amount of money from his estate (now valued at $1.3 Billion by some estimates).
Ola is currently a stay-at-home mom but in 1982 she was a "model/actress" who posed for Playboy in 1980. For those of you who have a collection, she was Playmate of the Month for June 1980. Michael picked her from thousands upon thousands of candidates reportedly because she had "the look." People the world over responded to Ola's processed curl, cropped denim outfit, and bright red lipstick that matched her red pumps. Ola was indeed the "it girl" for about two years in the early 80's. Her career eventually fizzled with her last acting credit listed as Beverly Hills Cop II in 1987 (she is not even on the third tier list of actors).
This is hardly the first time Ola has started squawking about Thriller; in 1997 she apologized to Michael for complaints about payments only to start up again 12 years later and two months before his death. After Michael's passing in June, Ola made the media rounds, just like a host of his other "friends," saying "I am freaking out, I can't believe that he is gone," she said. "He was my hero as well as my mentor. And I really respected him".
Reportedly, Ray still has one of Michael's Grammy Awards in her possession; she accepted it on his behalf and never gave it back. I also seem to recall reading Michael bankrolled Thriller and paid everyone up front so he would own all the rights and profits to the video. If this is true the Ola Ray and director John Landis (another so-called "friend" who is also suing for royalties from the estate) may be S.O.L.

Bishop Weeks is moving on

PROPHETESS Juanita Bynum (I giggle every time I say that "prophetess") ex-husband Bishop Thomas Weeks, III has a new woman, PROPHETESS Christina Glenn (and curiously, a MySpace profile). You may or may not recall the furor caused when Weeks was accused of stomping and beating the tar out of Bynum in a hotel parking lot, choking her, and telling her he was going to kill her (he later plead guilty to aggravated assault). Last year Weeks launched an online show called "Who Will Be The Next Mrs. Weeks?" that garnered a huge response. Among other things, Weeks listed ability to

Sisqo Deadbeat Dad

After six years in court, and with Sisqo refusing to take a paternity test, a court in Switzerland has determined HE IS the presumed father of a 9-year-old boy and was ordered to pay support. He is believed to have fathered the child in 1999. According to the mother, who is black and lives in Switzerland, she and her friends met Sisqo while he was performing with Dru Hill at a concert in Zurich in 1999. They had a one night stand when she was 14. When the child was six, the woman contacted Sisqo via his Web site and e-mailed him a photo of the little boy. She said Sisqo remembered who she was, but didn't acknowledge the child. Legal proceedings then began, but with him here and her way over there it maybe difficult for her to collect.

Meth and Red go in on Kelis and golddiggers
Method Man and Redman aired out Kelis and golddiggers in general on WKYS last week:
“…as far as speaking on men and women in general. 50 grand a month for some *ussy is some bullshit. Ladies for real all you did was fcuk your man. that money right there. A kid doesn’t need that much to survive. You trying to maintain your life style. That’s fcuked up. I want to see the shoe on the other foot...What the kids don’t understand is the air they breathing. The lights. The cable. The Mortgage. All that fall on Daddy’s shoulders. Not to mention he has to pay this stanking a$$ *itch that he don’t even fcuk with anymore to look good for some other ni%%a. This shit is crazy to me and any chick that does that shit is foul.”
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Fellas, hopefully your marriage was about more than *ussy and your wife did more than fcuk you. If not, why get married in the first place? As far as Nas and Kelis, Kelis has a successful music career, so I don't understand why he has to hemorrhage all that money in spousal support. The spousal support is three times the child support amount. I would think the priority should be on their son. Maybe it was the gift cards that ticked the judge off.

Timing is everything.....

Just hours after Kelis gave birth to her first child, a judge reportedly ordered her estranged husband, Nas, to pay her hefty sums in both spousal and child support.
According to The Associated Press, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Thursday (July 23) that Nas must pay Kelis nearly $44,000 a month in support. The ruling is temporary until a follow-up hearing September 8, when it will be decided if the amount should be altered. In addition to the monthly support, Nas must also pay $45,000 to cover Kelis' attorney fees and for a forensic accountant.

Don Cornelius Vants to Die Alone

There's more "death talk' of another black music trailblazer.
Don Cornelius, in an effort to condemn the concept of marriage, has gone totally morbid on us.
TMZ is reporting that the 'Soul Train' czar was so eager to get a divorce from his ex-wife Viktoria, that he actually put the following lines in divorce papers he submitted to L.A. County Superior Court:
"I am 72 years old. I have significant health issues. I want to finalize this divorce before I die." Looks like he's been obliged by the judge.

He ain't sayin she a golddigger

Tyrese has just made the gravy train an express with no stops. Tyrese told the divorce court he has "already paid $75,000 worth of respondent's [his soon-to-be-ex wife's] professional fees and costs for a marriage which lasted less than 10 months." He also states "prior to this 10 month marriage, respondent and I entered into a prenuptial agreement which resolved all issues between us, other than those pertaining to our minor child...Ms. Gibson can and should seek employment and is lawfully employable in the United States at this time." In other words, even though he did not want her to work during their marriage, he fully expects her to seek gainful employment now that they aren't together. Court documents also reveal he spends $4000 a month on clothes, $2200 on dining out and $1900 in groceries.

Nas vs Kelis Round Two

Nas responds to e-strange-d wife Kelis' demands for financial support as she prepares to give birth to the rapper's child, insisting his monthly salary is no where near as high as the she thinks it is.
He claims to have made around $4 million on his Def Jam deal not $11 million as his ex contends, and says his income has been on a steady decline, pulling in just $147,000 a month. With expenses of around $71,000 a month, including $10,000 a month in personal effects like clothes, Nas says he's not making much.
Nas, who says he wants to be "fully involved" in the parenting of their child, claims he's agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling, $500 for a DNA test and $1,600 for two cribs. He thinks $5,000 a month is a more reasonable request than her $80,000, and within his budget.
The former couple is due to face off in a New York court on July 21st, when a judge will rule on the case. The child is also due this month.

Why Did AEG tape MJ Concert Rehearsals?

AEG, the promoters of Michael Jackson's ill fated concert series in London, is reportedly insured for the first 22 concerts but were unable to get coverage for all 50 shows at a cost of $500 million. They also took out a $17.5 million insurance policy from Lloyd’s of London in the event a health crisis that would cause Jackson to pull out of his concert series. The promoters also will receive a multi-million dollar payout from the show’s insurers if reports linking the superstar’s passing to drugs are correct, since their policy covers death by overdose.
After they refund millions to ticket holders for the concerts, AEG has offered fans the option to have their tickets exchanged for the specially designed ticket created by Michael Jackson himself, a convenient way that AEG could recoup some of their monetary losses. Most of all, they have 100 hours of rehearsal footage, none of which was shown during the Jackson Memorial last Tuesday.

Debbie Rowe is skipping the memorial and threatening the paparazzi
"Although Debbie had originally planned to attend tomorrow's Staples Center memorial service, we have concluded with Debbie that she will not be attending," her rep said in a statement. "The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately"
On Sunday, Rowe yelled at the paparazzi outside a Chinese restaurant near her house, "Are you ready to get your butt kicked? Don't f***ing touch me."
She might be able to take out one or two photographers with her husky self, but she's no match for 18,000 angry fans who blame her for trying to take Michael's money and children she never wanted.
