Crabtree is threatening to sit out

Number 10 draft pick San Francisco 49'ers rookie Michael Crabtree is threatening to sit out this season and re-enter the draft next year if the team does not agree to raise his salary above number 7 draft pick Darrius Heyward-Bey's $23.5 million. Crabtree is basing his demands on hypothetical practice drafts which placed him ahead of Heyward-Bey. This is shaking up the world of the NFL because this type of stunt has never before been attempted by a rookie.

Add 50 Cent to the list of stars whose concerts have fallen through

50 Cent's agent, the William Morris Endeavor Agency faces a lawsuit from a German promoter who paid $125,000 to negotiate for a concert that never materialized. WMEA was supposed to return the money if the concert fell through, but they never did. Are people even really checking for Curly like that?

It's Good to Be the King....

The administrators of Michael Jackson's estate might want to check under the mattresses for cash. The executors were just handed $5.5 million that Jackson had asked one of his financial advisors to hold for him - plus a ton of personal items that could be auctioned for big bucks.

Although it was widely believed the King of Pop was cash-poor, apparently he had some serious moolah just laying around.

Dr. Tohme Tohme, a close advisor to the music icon, said he's the one who turned over the millions listed in court documents last week."I had the money and I gave it to them. It was a secret between Michael and me," he said. He said the money came from recording residuals and Jackson planned to use it for a "dream home" in Las Vegas." He said, "Don't tell anyone about this money," Tohme recalled. "But when he passed away I told them I had this money, and I gave it to them (and there's much more where that came from)."

He said he also turned over belongings from Jackson's Neverland estate that were in storage after a planned auction was cancelled.

Although Jackson was saddled with huge debts before his death of a suspected drug overdose on June 25, administrators believe the estate will eventually be solvent.

They're cutting deals to bring in "tens of millions of dollars of revenues," recent court filings said.

Pimpin Ain't Easy

Pimpin may not be easy but it ain't that damn hard. Katt Williams has denied rumors he filed for bankruptcy. Still, I can see how the father of 7 adopted children might have to use a coupon or two. It's a recession y'all.

Chef Paul and Juicy Steaks

Three 6 Mafia--which is really just DJ Paul and Juicy J now--is developing a new cooking show called "Cooking Ain't Easy." The show would follow the duo through their weekly dinner parties. The pair would cook, prepare, and serve gourmet meals to their friends and family. Oscar winners, Three 6 Mafia, and their producers are shopping the show around to cable networks. Apparently pimpin isn't the only thing that ain't easy.

Chris Brown has no career

Chris Brown has no career at the moment. Why am I still being subjected to the Slap Chop/Shamwow guy every other minute on TV?
