Teddy Riley's daughters say he beat them

Photos: The YBF via Egypt

Superproducer Teddy Riley of Blackstreet and formerly of Guy, has been accused by his teenaged daughters of brutally beating them.  According to Riley's 18-year-old daughter Taja, Riley became enraged after she and her sister Deja Twittered they do not like his new young girlfriend, who is only a few years older than they.  Taja claims he came home and beat them with a Guitar Hero guitar and punched and kicked them before ejecting them from the house.  Taja and Deja have filed a restraining order against their father.

We hope you had Mele Kalikimaka just like the Obamas

The United States' first family, the Obamas, spent the Christmas Holidays in Oahu celebrating quietly with their extended family.  President and Mrs. Obama did not exchange gifts this year, according to White House spokesmen.  Instead, they focused the holiday on giving to the children and service to the community.  Mrs. Obama, along with her daughters Malia and Sasha, and the First Dog, Bo, delivered cookies to the Children's National Medical Center earlier this week.  The Obamas celebrated the holidays with the President's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, and her family and will extend their Hawaiian trip into January.

There is nothing else like Christmas in Hawaii.  If you ever have the opportunity to visit Oahu at the holidays, jump on it.

Jackson 5 "The Little Drummer Boy"

The Jackson 5 Christmas Album. Michael really broke it down in this song! In my opinion this is even better than David Bowie's version.

Band Aid "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

I can remember watching this everysingletime it came on Mtv. Every time. Did you know Kool & the Gang and Jody Watley (Shalamar) were the only Americans to participate in the collaborative effort? Other attendees included U2, Boy George and Culture Club, Duran Duran, Wham!, Bananarama, Queen, Phil Collins, and Sting. This was right up there with "We Are The World" for me.

Johnny Depp says he didn't base Willy Wonka on MJ

“I was inspired by him because I think he was a great artist but he was not the inspiration for Willy Wonka contrary to what most people say.”  Depp, 46, also denied he was playing Jackson in a film.
“No no no, I never ever thought of playing Michael Jackson in a film, I think if anyone should play Michael Jackson in a film it should’ve been Michael Jackson,” he said.

“A mother and a father have lost a son, siblings have lost a brother and millions of people around the world have lost someone they love,” Depp said of Jackson’s recent passing. “Children have lost a father so it’s obviously a very sad, sad moment.”

I'm aware of the problem

Some of you have contacted me to let me know Blogger has been eating up comments. Apparently, people are commenting then when they hit publish, the comment disappears even though Blogger says it has been published. I tested it myself this afternoon and the same thing happened. I have NO idea why this is happening. I will check the help forums and get back with you. Thanks for trying to comment and please don't give up.

The FBI released its files on Michael Jackson

The FBI finally released its files on Michael Jackson yesterday. I read through the hundreds of pages of microfiche, standard departmental forms, and (poorly) handwritten notes immediately. The bureau redacted literally hundreds of pages and names from the files, and what was released contained no new information for those fans of Michael who followed all his cases. What the files do contain is the bureau's own conclusion that there were "collateral investigative issues NY Miami, Los Angeles divisions." In other words, investigators in local jurisdictions abused their power and overstepped their bounds in an attempt to convict Michael on charges of which he was INNOCENT.
Seven different files were included in the release. The first file details an investigation into death threats MJ received. Frank Paul Jones (his name has been redacted from the reports) first threatened to kill Pres. George H.W. Bush in 1992. He was arrested, then released. A day later, the threatened to kill Michael Jackson and commit mass murder at one of his concerts unless he got money from the singer. Reportedly, he was attempting to get the attention of Michael's sister, Janet, with whom he believed he was married.

Other reports detailed a request to perform forensic analysis of computers seized in a raid of Neverland ranch to look for child pornography and analysis of a VHS tape thought to contain child pornography (it did NOT). The analysis of the VHS tape shed absolutely no light on anything. It was merely a repetitive account of how they came to conclude it may be a 4th generation video tape. There was no real mention of what was on it. The title was salacious, but there is not even any evidence it was MJ's let alone that it contained child pornography.
The forensic computer analysis of 16--count 'em 16!--computers turned up zilch. Pedophiles notoriously love their images and video of children so....take that haters!

The most disturbing report was the one on the report of Terry George, not because of the nature of the allegations, but because anyone took him seriously at the time. Reprinting microfiche of those disgusting tabloid articles along with LaToya's horrible allegations opens up a whole new media barrage. The British paper printed those allegations of an unproven incident that publicity/money-seeker says happened 15 years before. That is not only irresponsible, it is criminal. It really proves what a huge heart and good spirit Michael had to forgive LaToya for all she did to hurt him.

Neverland raiders seized pornography from Michael's home--but it was of the garden variety Playboy and Hustler. Folks, Michael LOVED women. He was a heterosexual male who was very much in touch with his sexuality and oozed sensuality when on stage. There are countless websites devoted to his stage antics and the nature of his...human nature. That is a post for another day!

Exclusive: Police are quietly building a case against the Woods

Planet Jackson Worldwide News has learned exclusively from inside sources that complaints against Tiger Woods and his wife came from officers responding to the scene of the crash. According to our source, when officers finally questioned Woods and his wife, Elin, their stories did not match up and Nordegren changed her story about the sequence of events repeatedly. This raised suspicions of domestic abuse prompting a call to Child Protective Services.

According to our source, outside investigators were brought in from surrounding counties to avoid a conflict of interest and the investigation is ongoing. The Woods' planned departure to a secluded island in Sweden will not preclude their obligation to co-operate with the investigation into the welfare of the children.

Contrary to published reports in the mainstream media, the police are not buying Tiger's story about what happened and he is going to have to answer for more than his infidelity. Woods remains holed up on his massive yacht moored off the shores of North Palm Beach, Florida. The yacht is ironically names, "Privacy."

'Princess and the Frog' #1 at the box office

'The Princess and the Frog' had no trouble snatching the crown at theaters this weekend, coasting to the top spot at the box office as family films flexed their holiday muscle. The Disney fairy tale earned $25 million, according to studio estimates from Nielsen EDI, almost $10 million more than the closest competitor.

The film, a twist on a Brothers Grimm tale about a woman turned into a frog after a kiss, enjoyed the highest debut for an animated movie released in December. The film also drew a surprising number of unaccompanied adults. Nearly one in five moviegoers came to the theater without children, according to Disney exit polling.

"That's the number that's sweetest," Disney's Chuck Viane says. "We knew families were going to come. But we didn't know about the adults without kids. That was going to depend on reviews." About 83% of the nation's critics recommended the movie, according to RottenTomatoes.com.

"You can do your movie in 2-D, 3-D," Viane says. "But it's not going to save you without a good story. Especially when you're talking about kids and family films. They depend on word of mouth." And families have been talking. The Blind Side, the Sandra Bullock football film, took second place with $15.5 million. The fact-based film has earned $150.2 million.

Hidden Michael Jackson music found in SEGA video game

True Michael Jackson fans have known about this soundtrack since he did it. It is said Michael has hundreds of songs and dozens of unreleased music videos in the SONY vault and at his home. Many of them are said to be saved on the computer hard drive removed from his home on the day of his death by his sister LaToya Jackson. Let us pray she doesn't damage or destroy those songs before the world gets to hear them.

Chat about "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" Premiere

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" reality tv show premiered last night on A & E. I did a live chat with a few people. Here is an excerpt of my comments on the show:

The show began with all 4 brothers (Randy refuses to participate) talking about their family and the show. It opened with Michael's singing in the Jackson 5, so I already had a tear in my eye. They showed a lot of old pictures of them when they were children. They were all very handsome boys!

The show quickly devolved into a bit of showboating. Jermaine wanted to address jealousy issues. In doing so he made a remark about Michael's success being due to the Jackson 5 so how could they be jealous of him? He spoke as if there were no Jackson 5 there would have been no Michael. I just sucked my teeth at the tv. MJ's success was because of MJ. Yes, he started out with his brothers, but it was apparent from DAY 1 he was the star of the show. He went on to be a supernova.

"I am so anxious about them showing the golden casket. I don't think I can take it."

"Tito's sons are cute! That next generation is really going to get a leg up by being on this show. I know T3 is already big in Europe thanks to Michael's help and guidance, but they are largely unknown in the States. I hope that changes for them, if that's what they want."

"Jermaine is trying to take over and make decisions for the group, but I don't think Jermaine is the leader here. He wants to be, but didn't you catch that little blurb where one of the brothers said Jermaine would sing all the parts if they let him? They are aware of his ego and are finally straining against it. "It's time for some new Jackson blood. It's time for Tito."" It's funny to hear them talking smack about standing up to Jackie now. He's STILL the father figure.

Tito got frustrated trying to produce their album. He told them, "you guys sound like the Supremes instead of the Jacksons" to which one of them replied, "Tito is a pain in the a$$." the brothers did NOT work well in the studio. I think Michael really got frustrated with them and their work ethic, that's why he stopped performing with them. These negroes actually ERASED a song in the studio after a day of recording! Isn't it amazing how Michael almost didn't even get a chance to be in the group? What a shame they didn't have more confidence in LaToya and Rebbie. Rebbie can really SING and LaToya isn't bad herself. Of course, Janet eventually became a star, but they really poo pooed her talent for a long time.

Of course we all knew they would have plenty of footage of Jermaine emoting, praying, and talking with mama.

Two of the brothers went back to Gary, Indiana to try and get their mojo back. The town was very welcoming. They showed footage of their old family home which now stands empty as a memorial. I would like to see them build a proper memorial in Gary for Michael, since Neverland doesn't seem to be an option. I'll write about my frustrations with Neverland another time.

Tito wasn't the only one getting frustrated with the brothers. One of the nephews, Siggy just cussed out his uncles. How disrespectful. Joe would have had that a$$ on the ground before that spit finished flying out of his mouth. Jermaine cried a few more times. He really seemed kind of whiny this show. I found myself askinf if there was even water coming out of his eyes? Jermaine stop whining. The brothers did what was best for the group when they left Motown. Jermaine was being selfish wanting them to stay with Motown when Berry wouldn't let them have any creative control. The brothers had a touching moment when they tried to make him feel better. the revealed Michael cried many times before going on stage because Jermaine wasn't there with them. He was so sensitive and kindhearted.

I began to cry when Jackie started crying. This was my favorite quote from the entire show: Jackie spoke about being a pallbearer for Michael, "If I had to carry him for 100 miles, I would do it." I got angry when Marlon said, "I don't think people would ever understand the loss of a brother as opposed to losing a pop star"
I disagree. Many people have lost siblings and loved ones and know just how much it hurt. I guess it never occurred to him that some of us may even love him MORE. We don't have all the baggage, all the rivalry. The way he touched my life....
I like what Jermaine said, "I really don't think this Earth was ready for him..."
Jackie: "I'm not afraid of dying now.."

The brothers revealed they have been bullied into going ahead with a planned series of concerts before they are emotionally ready to move on from Michael's death. How can he tell you when you're done mourning? Not only are they not ready emotionally, their singing and dancing isn't up to par. They need more than 2 months to get ready...try 2 years! Even their attorney Virgil and producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis told them things won't be the same without Michael. "Your brother was the biggest star in the world...", said Virgil. Terry Lewis told them,"the only problem we have now is we don't have Michael as part of the sound. It was the Jackson 5 not the Jackson 4." Right on. Who do they think is going to sing all Michael's parts? Jermaine? (I'm sure that's what he's thinking.) It just feels so empty without MJ.
Interesting they are going to JJ and TL to produce them. Those 2 chose to work with Michael back in the day over Jermaine and he was pissed about it. They also made a huge star out of Janet. Why don't the bros get some advice from Janet?

There were some other good moments in the show, such as the black eye/pink eye segment. You'll have to watch to know what I mean. All in all, it was a good 2 hours. Jackson Family Values airs Sunday nights at 10pm Eastern on A&E.

Jermaine's fans give him mad props for his singing in this song on the YouTube page.

Justin Timberlake regrets throwing Janet Jackson under the bus

Almost six years after the career-changing incident, Justin Timberlake apparently has regrets over the way he treated Janet Jackson in the wake of their 2004 Super Bowl scandal. The two were performing what was sure to be a showstopping routine during half time of the game when at the end of a song,Timberlake ripped open Jackson's shirt to reveal her naked breast covered by a pastie. Viewers had to be keen of eye to catch the momentary flash, but the fallout lasted for years.

Both Jackson and Timberlake apologized, with Jackson calling it a "wardrobe malfunction", however only Jackson's career seemed to suffer in its wake. Timberlake, for his part, denied knowing Jackson was topless, and distanced himself from her allowing the media and the public to draw conclusions she alone was responsible for the flash. Janet was left alone to deal with the fallout as she watched her album sales fall and her endorsements dry up. She retreated from the public eye, becoming a recluse and gaining quite a bit of weight. "Nipplegate" on CBS was seen by an estimated 140 million viewers and brought unprecidented complaints to the FCC and a huge fine for the network. Now, Timberlake says he's sorry. He told Entertainment Weekly he regrets his handling of the situation. “I wish I had supported Janet more. I am not sorry I apologized, but I wish I had been there more for Janet,” he said.

Personally, I used to be a JT fan. I loved his music and his style of dancing, but the way he treated Janet...really left a bad taste in my mouth. He came out of it with his career intact, but in my opinion he abandoned her like a coward. He was the one who actually ripped her shirt, not her. He humiliated and exposed a Black woman on international television. Why wasn't it considered assault? How can you blame someone for someone else ripping their clothes off? I never understood that. Even if they had planned it, they should have stood together to take the heat. Instead, he took the easy way out. I never forgave him for it and never bought anything else he did. He lost a fan in me back in 2004. How did you feel about it? Do you think he's being sincere now?

The Jackson 5 Christmas Album

Is Janet using the rumored Colin Farrell swirl to reprieve Dupri?

Janet and actor Colin Farrell were on couple watch after they were spotted at an “intimate lunch” a couple of weeks ago. They were seen sitting side by side in a booth at the renowned Polo Lounge located in the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to "Entertainment Tonight". Although Farrell just had a child with his girlfriend,Alicja Bachleda (i can't say it either) eight weeks ago , is Janet trying to get JD jealous and get back with him?

Original master to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to be auctioned

The original master test proof recording of Michael Jackson's hit song 'Thriller' will go under the hammer at a Bonhams Auction on December 20th. The recording is expected to fetch USD $4,000-6,000. The acetate disc features the title song from the Thriller album along with the instrumental version. The record was used by Grammy-winning master recording engineer Bruce Swedien to check the sound quality before Jackson released the single version of his hit song in January 1984. The record has only been played once. The album is being sold to benefit scholarships for students at California State University Summer Arts. Other items up for sale include a T-shirt Michael wore in the 'Beat It' video (estimate sale price USD $10,000-12,000) and a collectible item (estimate: USD $500-700).

I went to see This Is It for the last time on Thursday

I went to see This Is It during the mid afternoon Thursday. There were not that many of us in the theater so I had my pick of seats. I was able to sing and do a little dancing without worrying about bothering anyone else. I was excited all day long thinking about going to the movies for one last time. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating each part as it came. The movie flew by this time, probably because I knew it would be my last time seeing it on the large screen. I felt myself becoming more and more emotional the closer we got to the finale. Tears started streaming down my face at the beginning of Man In The Mirror, then I started sobbing when Michael spread his arms at the end. I wanted to watch all the extras at the end (and I needed a minute to pull myself together), so I stayed until the house lights came on. I really couldn't even look at anyone else on my way out of the theater. Honestly, my grief felt fresh all over again. It was a bittersweet farewell on the three month anniversary of Michael's interment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We here at Planet Jackson are taking the day off to be with our families. We wish you and yours a happy, healthy, safe holiday. This year has been a rollercoaster year for me. I uprooted my family to move several states away, underwent a career change, started this blog and witnessed two of my closest friends pass away suddenly several months apart. In between their passing, I had to suffer the untimely death of my absolute favorite artist, Michael Jackson. If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know I love the Jacksons--Michael, Janet, and the Jackson 5. Michael's death shook me to the core even moreso than the passing of people who I saw on a daily basis; I am still in mourning.
It might seem like I am listing a lot of negative things here, but I see them as positives. Each challenge I have faced, especially the passing of my friends, has taught me not to take anything for granted. I am thankful for even the smallest of pleasures: the sound of my children's laughter, the taste of a good meal, the sound of the rain, the sunshine on my face, the fragrance of a flower, each moment I have to spend with friends and family. I take time to see and to savor now. I tell everyone who is special to me how much I love them. I know now, each time might be the last. I take each day at a time. Most of all, I have come to realize what is important to me and which things are not worth worrying about. I have reaffirmed my true gratitude for everything life has to offer. Today, as you sit down with your loved ones (even if that just means you and your pets or houseplants), what are you thankful for?

Michael Jackson's glove set a new auction record

The iconic white glove Michael Jackson wore in 1983when he premiered the moonwalk during Billie Jean at the Motown 25th Anniversary special has set the auction world ablaze. The glove was auctioned off by Julien's Auctions for US$420,000 including taxes and fees ($350,000 excluding them) this past Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City's Times Square. Hong Kong businessman Hoffman Ma won the auction on behalf of the Ponte 16 Resort Hotel in Macau.

Michael gifted the glove to Walter "Clyde" Orange of the singing group the Commodores backstage after his performance that night. Orange felt it was time to sell the piece of music history. Other Jackson items were also up for auction: the fedora Jackson wore that same night fetched $22,000 against an estimate of $2,000 and a jacket that Jackson wore on his 1989 "Bad" tour sold for $225,000 — 20 times its low estimate of $8,000.

Julien's also auctioned off memorabilia from other musicans on Saturday including items once belonging to Elvis Presley, the Beatles, and Mariah Carey, but the buzz was about Michael Jackson. His presence dominated the cafe as did two giant photos of Jackson on either side of the auction block and a huge picture of his famed glove at the center.

Neil Armstrong Didn't Invent the Moonwalk

Michael Jackson perfected and popularized the moonwalk, notably on his Motown 25 “Billie Jean” performance. But variations of the moonwalk already existed prior to that performance, thanks to the likes of Fred Astaire, Bill Bailey, Buck and Bubbles, Cab Calloway, Clark Brothers, Sammy Davis Jr., Daniel L. Haynes, Rubberneck Holmes, Patterson and Jackson, Eleanor Powell, Bill Robinson, Three Chefs, Tip Tap and Toe (ft. Ray Winfield), and Earl Snakehips Tucker.

Beyonce did a tribute to Michael Jackson

I don't mean to bring negativity, but you all should know Beyonce has said several negative things about the Jackson family in the past. One of them is:
"I grew up upper-class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American, and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons... I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation"
Beyonce said this during an interview with Elle magazine. I think the statement was incredibly disrespectful and caused a lot of fallout for her. Rightfully so. The statement was directly aimed at Janet. Janet is said to have responded with, 'Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do.'
Because of the fallout, Beyonce has been careful to smile and pretend like she is a huge Jackson fan and even wanted to do a tribute a the BET awards this year. (Supposedly the Jackson family nixed that idea because of her previous statements.)
If you have a hard time believing Bey would say something mean one minute then nice the next or vice versa, remember the Taylor Swift incident? People were hailing her as a saint for giving Taylor her time to speak at the VMA's. Beyonce later came out several weeks later and admitted she knew Kanye was going to do it ahead of time and that 'he was just standing up for true art' or something to that effect. When this started to generate a tiny buzz on the blogs, the story was buried. Just like the Taylor incident, I'm sure she did this to generate good press for herself more than to honor Michael.
My point in all this is to say, I think it is perfectly fine to appreciate her performance of the tribute, but please consider the source. It may or may not be sincere, so be careful who you praise and venerate. I am not a Beyonce hater. I enjoy a lot of her songs and loved her last tour before Sasha Fierce. I just don't like a lot of the things she says and does. She was one of the people responsible for putting down Michael so she gets the side eye.

The New Millennial Dr. Death Returns to Work

Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor accused of killing Michael Jackson announced last night he is returning to work. The doctor is in arrears with his child support and has not worked since Jackson's death. For those of you interested in booking an appointment with the New Millennial Dr. Death you can find him at the Armstrong Medical Clinic, Acre Homes, Houston, Texas, U.S.A.

Murray has admitted to administering Propofol and various benzodiazepines at Michael Jackson's home without a pulseox monitor, a defibrillator, and other monitoring equipment as well as leaving Jackson alone while on the medication; Murray says he was only gone for a few minutes. Police investigators say he was gone for at least an hour while Jackson slipped into respiratory depression leading to an eventual cardiac arrest. Murray maintains he did not give Jackson "anything that should have killed him."

If you feel like rolling the dice on whether or not the good doctor will be taking phone calls and visiting the loo during your important medical procedures, please book an appointment now. His receptionist is standing by.

I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but Michael Jackson was the Artist of the Year

I stayed up live chatting the AMA's with a group of folks from around the world. You would be surprised at how many international fans were trying to see this show. Some of my online friends in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Greece, the UK, and Scandanavia could not see the broadcast on television, so I kept up a stream of consciousness commentary on the show. I'm going to be honest with you: I haven't watched the AMA's in years and can't remember ever voting. That all changed this year with Michael Jackson's five nominations. I really wanted to see if he would be properly honored, so I tuned in. Spoiler alert: Michael won 4 of the 5 categories in which he was nominated.

Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist
Favorite Pop/Rock Album
Favorite Soul/R&B Artist
Favorite Soul/R&B Album

He lost out to Taylor Swift for Artist of the Year. Even those who didn't really listen to Michael's music know he is artist of the millennium, let alone artist of the year. Where was Kanye when you need him?

Overall, the show was pretty dull and the producers seemed to be stalling on the good stuff and incorporating as much filler as possible. Half the show was devoted to country music and the other half seemed to be teen pop. At one point I threatened to scream if I saw one more Disney "star" come up to present an award. Shouldn't they have been doing homework or something?

Anyway, here is some of what I wrote.

I would give it an 8. I didn't like Janet's pants and she seemed to be just going through the motions in places. I also don't think she put any live vocals into it. Her makeup was flawless. She looked good and it was nice to see her honored as the opener, but I have seen her do much better. She had more fire in her eyes at the VMA's.

Some things never change. I thought it was totally inappropriate for him to bring his various children up onto the stage, plus the youngsters looked totally uninterested. He omitted Randy and I don't think he mentioned MICHAEL's kids either! What an ass!

Black Eyed Peas! Love them! I was hoping for pump it up and I've Got A Feeling. Why is Fergie in lingerie? She doesn't have to shake her pum pum to get attention. I like her darker hair. will.i.am is so far out there. Great club music. Love Apl's mohawk. Oooh, Taboo's wearing a sparkly glove like Michael! Did you see it? His already high sexy factor just increased exponentially! I have to admit I squealed with delight when they incorporated Nirvana. Yes, folks, I am a Nirvana fan. We like all kinds of (good) music over here on Planet Jackson.

Whitney's vocals are back! Last night's performance was miles better than her Central Park performance last month. Whitney has also thickened up! I really thought it would never happen, but she had a bit of a tummy and hips in that fitted white dress. I wonder why she wore it? Her makeup was flawless, but the wig needed a brushing. I could have done without that bit of hollering towards the end. When Samuel L. Jackson came out to introduce her, I half expected him to just say "she's a bad mother fcuker". He looked quite distinguished with his salt and pepper hair and pewter dress shirt.

Timbaland is back! I really missed his beats in hip hop. It's like he has some sort of embargo against working with the genre that made him. Ooooh, his autotune doesn't seem to be working, he doesn't sound good. That lady in the black dress looks scary. I like Nelly Furtado's hair. Okay, they incorporated some of Thriller at the end! Did you catch it?

Rihanna's set was weird and spectacular. I thought it had shades of S & M and I ain't mad at that. It made me sit up and pay attention. I did NOT like the costume.at.all. Her vocals were...she should have left out the guns as well. Do I sense a subconscious death wish here? Russian Roulette, her gun tatts, and this set? That tat on her neck and throat=epic FAIL!!!!! So tacky! This girl is having a slow public breakdown. She, Lauryn Hill, and Cassie just need to go away to some island to recuperate. Oh, scratch that. Islands are what got Lauryn in trouble in the first place.

Lady GaGa

I didn't like the costumes at all and I didn't care for her legs cocked open at the piano either. Is she wearing some sort of modified jockstrap? That whole set looks so dangerous! Broken glass, fire, and smoke everywhere. How is anyone else going to perform? I hope she doesn't get glass in her eye. I'm totally confused. I love her voice. She is singing live and she is fantastic. I really don't understand why she does all the gimmicks. She doesn't have to be Marilyn Manson. She's Lady Ga Ga and that should be enough. I felt like I was watching one of those crazy late-night specials on HBO (some of y'all know what I mean), so FAIL.

Let's see if she lives up to the hype. (She didn't.) She's been on the mommy track for a minute now. She never was much of a live singer. She is going to get pilloried for her mommy thighs. Twins in your late thirties will do that, LOL. Well, I liked the second pair of shoes and I loved the walking up the dancers' backs, but my favorite part was when gravity took over and brought that mighty ass down! At least she had plenty of cushioning! That was mean, wasn't it?

I was also a bit taken aback when Jermaine thanked Allah. That would have been fine if that were his award but it was Michael's. Michael learned about Islam but he wasn't Muslim. I bet Katherine had a fit when she heard that, too. She's a devout Jehovah's Witness. I wonder how they managed to keep Joe from attending and accepting? You know he probably wanted to. He was probably outside with the bouncers tombout 'don't you know who I am?' Jermaine was exceptionally self-centered tonight. You would have thought it was his award. At least he mentioned Michael's message: "Start with love and let's love each other."

50 Cent and Eminem kind of phoned in their performance. It wasn't anything spectacular. Eminem has squandered his potential on senseless beefs, anger, and drugs. 50 was always just hype. By the way, when you have to bleep out a good solid 4 seconds of your performance at a time then your song is too profane. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys could have just cued up a video of their VMA performance for that New York song. I felt like I was watching the exact same thing. Alicia did a decent job on her solo. I liked the spinning piano in the air.

TAYLOR EMINEFFING SWIFT???
At least she is acknowledging the Jacksons. She does NOT deserve this award. There is no way. What happened to the other awards? I know I'm not crazy. They have only presented three of the five in which Michael was nominated. WTF???

Why are they having Adam Lambert hump that woman's face (I later realized that was a man)and feel up the crotch of that woman on the pole? He knows he did not like it one.bit. What's with the man-kiss? He knows good and well he wanted to wear some spangled Liberace suit. All the screaming! Freddie Mercury he is not. He sounds like I did when they announced TS as the winner over MJ. I'm still screaming.

Ryan Seacrest, this show sucked. I'm never watching again. I feel so let down. This is B.S. Taylor did NOT deserve to win that award and she knows it. I never thought I would say this, but where is Kanye? I'm pissed because
1. there was no tribute
2. Michael didn't win artist of the year. I refuse to believe his fans did not vote for him in droves. this is a conspiracy! Even if, by some glaring omission Michael were not nominated, Taylor Swift still should not have won. She just doesn't have the chops. What she apparently does have is an army of 2-year-old fans who texted and voted on-line ad nauseum.
3. the show was extremely boring
4. 2 of Michael's awards were presented off-air and they didn't even bother to tell us that during the show. People were left wondering what happened.
5. Adam Lambert's closing number was disgusting and vulgar. I have seen him in person and he has no personality or stage presence; I guess he went for the shock value so we wouldn't notice his stumbling (he tripped during his set) and screeching and general lack of real showmanship. I am officially through with him and the whole American Idol fakery machine.

Seacrest owes America an apology.

Stevie Wonder can't handle TII

When asked, “Do you think he [Michael Jackson] would have wanted the movie to be released even though it’s all rehearsal footage?” Longtime friend Stevie Wonder emotionally replied, “I don’t know. I really don’t know...I haven’t seen the movie yet. I’m sure I will go see it but, emotionally, I can’t really handle going to see it now...“I will say that I hope the film, the movie is very successful and I hope that his children, his mother and the family get what they're supposed to receive.”

Translation: I hope Joe don't get shyt because Michael left him out of the will on purpose.

Janet and Jermaine are just "friends"

Janet Jackson's prime time interview with ABC's Robin Williams was a big hit. In the interview, Janet quashes rumors she and long-time beau Jermaine Dupri have patched things up saying they are still very close friends but are not dating. Janet credits Jermaine with helping her to learn to accept her body the way it is and to love herself.

Accuser's father tried to alter his identity

Michael Jackson's molestation accuser's father, Evan Chandler apparently commited suicide on November. 5th with a single gushot wound to the head. Though no suicide not was found in the condo, some critics speculate Chandler may have been hounded by guilt over his numerous attempts to get money from Michael Jackson by accusing him of wrongdoing with his son, Jordan. Chandler also reportedly underwent numerous plastic surgeries in an attempt to alter his appearance; he wanted to disguise his identity due to die hard Jackson fans who would shout and berate him when they recognized him in public.

Repost: BREAKING NEWS: Father of Michael Jackson's accuser found dead

I wanted to re-post this again so everyone would see it.

Unconfirmed reports are in that Evan Chandler, father of Michael Jackson's accuser in his first molestation trial Jordan Chandler, is dead. Reportedly, the elder Chandler was found dead on November 5th of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He left no suicide note.
Evan Chandler famously accused Michael of molestation in 1993 leading to Michael's first major bout with depression and anxiety surrounding negative media attention. Chandler originally approached Michael's people with a demand for money saying he had a doctor's note saying sexual abuse might have occurred; at this time the boy had not said anything about abuse. Chandler was turned away and filed a civil suit against Michael using a confession extracted from his son with sodium amytal as evidence of the alleged abuse. Sodium amytal alters the mind to allow others to implant memories; in other words, Jordan's father brainwashed him into saying Michael Jackson molested him. Jordan told police and psychiatrists he and Michael kissed, masturbated, and engaged in oral sex. (I'm sorry for the graphic nature of the post, but you need to understand just how heinous his allegations were.) Police raided Neverland Ranch and searched his mother's home Hayvenhurst. Michael was forced to submit to a strip search and photographing of his body, including his genitals, anus, thighs, etc.

Evan Chandler was tape recorded speaking with his son's stepfather saying, “Everything’s going according to a certain plan that isn’t just mine… and if I go through with this, I win big time. There’s no way I lose. I’ve checked that inside out. I will get everything I want, and they will be destroyed forever. June will lose [custody of the son]… and Michael’s career will be over.” When asked how the accusations will affect his son, Evan replied "That's irrelevant to me...It will be a massacre if I don't get what I want. It's going to be bigger than all us put together...This man [Jackson] is going to be humiliated beyond belief...He will not sell one more record".

Jordan Chandler's own mother opposed the trial saying she believed Michael would never hurt a child much less her own son; she said her ex-husband was lying. LaToya Jackson added fuel to the fire by claiming Michael was a pedophile and she would give proof to any media outlet prepared to pay her a half a million dollars. Michael's physical and emotional health suffered during the trial prompting his wife, Lisa Marie Presley, and others close to him to consider settling. He settled the case for $22 million in 1993 so he could get on with his life.
The terms of the settlement did not prevent Jordan from testifying in the criminal trial, but Jordan chose not to because he did not want to pursue the case (and probably felt guilty for his father's lies.) The District Attorney, Tom Sneddon, and his minions aggressively interrogated over 30 children who stayed at Neverland Ranch and 100's of other witnesses. None of them reported any incidents of sexual abuse. Sneddon brought all his "evidence", including pictures of Michael's genitalia and Jordan's description of his genitalia in front of two grand juries; the description did not match the photos according to USA Today reporters who were allowed to view them. The so-called evidence was rejected by the grand juries and Sneddon's case fell apart. Michael never stood trial on the criminal charges.

After receiving upwards of $20 million in a settlement, Evan Chandler tried to sue Michael Jackson again in 1996 for $60 million. Chandler alleged Michael violated the terms of their settlement by denying he abused his son, giving an interview to Diane Sawyer on 60 Minutes denying the allegations, and writing songs about the media witch hunt on his HIStory album. Chandler also demanded he be allowed to produce and release his own album called EVANstory. Thankfully, Chandler was laughed out of court.

Unconfirmed reports say Jordan later retracted his story saying his father lied and he was sorry. The same reports say he came out again after Michael's death to set the record straight lamenting, "I never meant to lie and destroy Michael Jackson but my father made me to tell only lies. Now i can’t tell Michael how much i’m sorry and if he will forgive me ... Now for the first time i can’t bear to lie anymore. Michael Jackson didn’t do anything to me, all was my father lies to escape from being poor.”

Well, Jordan is far from poor today. His mother divorced his scheming step father shortly after the settlement. Michael sent the last of his payments in 1999; today Jordan lives in a multi-million dollar mansion in Long Island under an assumed name. Michael never spoke to Jordan again.

Even in death, Michael is still hounded by charlatans and leeches intent on capitalizing off his name at all costs. At least Charon has ferried one of them from our midst.

Janet Jackson's "Make Me: Behind the Scenes"

Janet will be discussing her brother Michael's death, her new album, and her relationship with Jermaine Dupri on television next Wednesday evening. From what I've heard, she blames Dr. Conrad Murray for Michael's death. It will be interesting to see what else she has to add. I just hope she doesn't capitalize off the situation like some others who shall remain nameless...

Janet Jackson made an appearance

Janet Jackson made an appearance in Los Angeles at The Grove for a Tribute Dance event. She looks fantastic, doesn't she? She and long-time beau Jermaine Dupri are supposed to be an item again. It's a shame they couldn't work out their differences in the immediate aftermath of Michael's death. It's good to see her smiling again.

Michael Jackson's and Lisa Marie's marriage certificate up for auction

The marriage certificate issued to Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley following their May 26, 1994 wedding in the Dominican Republic will go up for auction January 10, 2010. According to Phillip Weiss Auctions, the certificate was issued following a 15 minute ceremony and boasts signatures of both stars. The auction house released this statement:

“Anything relating to Michael Jackson is of extreme interest right now
because of his untimely death and the release of the movie,” Weiss explains.
“…When you have an item that combines his name and legend with the Presley name and legend, their marriage certificate no less, with both of their signatures on
it, you’ve got something that’s almost impossible to predict what it will bring
at auction.”

The King of Pop's funeral cost $1,000,000

Michael Jackson's family wanted to give him a proper send off so they paid upwards of US$1 million for the private family funeral before his interment at Forest Lawn-Glendale Cemetery.

Costs included $855,730 for cemetery and funeral charges including the purchase of other plots within the same mausoleum where Jackson now rests; $35,000 for burial garments; $2,000 for usher uniforms; $1,975 for clothing for the family; $3,682 for framing of a photograph of Michael to display next to the casket; $959 for embroidery; $11,716 for invitations and programs; $16,000 for flowers; $30,000 for cars and security; and $15,000 for a funeral designer. There was also a charge of $21,455 for the "funeral repast" at a local Italian restaurant after the interment. The estate also paid $5,000 a month to store Michael's body in the months leading up to the funeral. Janet, Randy, and Katherine (and interestingly, NOT LaToya or Jermaine) were involved in the funeral arrangements and Janet paid a $49,000 to Forest Lawn-Glendale.

"Mrs. Jackson and her family wish to honor her son by a funeral that seeks to offer solace to his multitude of fans and by which the family also may be comforted," the Mrs. Jackson's attorneys said. [The costs were] "entirely commensurate with the decedent's worldwide status as an entertainer and the world's grief over his death."
