Suspect arrested in Vernon Forrest's murder


Police have arrested a suspect in the killing of boxing champion Vernon Forrest. Demario Ware, 20, turned himself in to police on Tuesday and is being held in the Fulton County jail on charges of murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to an Atlanta Police spokesperson.


Forrest, 38, was shot in July after being robbed at a gas station by a man who asked him for money then snatched his wallet.

  1. I saw the video of the suspect a couple o'days ago. It's sad to live in a world where you can't have nice things out in the open and peace of mind at tha same time, cuz niggas might run up on you.

  3. This man was minding his own business at the gas station and lost his life. You aren't safe anywhere anymore.

  4. That was really messed up the way he went out. At least he defended himself and didn't die on his knees begging for his life. I hope homie does serious time and the boys on the inside do a little boxing with him.

  5. We as a society really need to do more about the violence in our streets. This was a terrible tragedy.
