Hillary keeps it gully

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had quite a strong reaction to an incorrectly translated question from the audience at a town hall in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The young lady in the audience asked what Sec. Clinton thought about the subject and also inquired of President Barack Obama's opinion on the matter. The translator, in her excitement, incorrectly asked what Mrs. Clinton's husband, former Pres. Bill Clinton, thought about the matter. Well, Sec. Clinton took offense to the question, pulled out her earphones, and put the woman in check in front of everyone. Now her supporters are doing a clean up job saying she was fatigued from the long overseas trip and that she later apologized, etc. I think we just got a glimpse of Hillary being Hillary. I do like her and admire her strength and gumption, but let's face it. She has never struck me as the warm and cuddly or pussyfooting type. If Hill is displeased, you know it immediately. Do you think she should have reacted the way she did? Sound off in the comments section.

  1. I can understand how she is frustrated at always living in Bill's and now Obama's shadows, but I'm not so sure she should have reacted the way she did. After all, when she ran for President, she placed a LOT of emphasis on the fact that Bill would be advising her in important matters and that they shared and discussed ideas and opinions on a regular basis. The translator made a mistake in the translation, but she set the stage for that sort of question.

  2. Too gutter. I love it. It reinforces the "Bill is Black" notion for me. I mean, look at her neck-rolling! Love. It.

  4. i understand that sometimes you have to work to separate yourself from you family, but the way she reacted was just mean. maybe she and bill are having problems, but that's a bad look for her to get so snippy and bitchy at a question. she could have even answered it by saying that she doesn't discuss things like foreign affairs with her husband. dude was a highly successful and popular president, so (even though this was a mix up) of course people wonder what he has to say about things. people still ask jimmy carter and gwb what they think about things.

  6. I agree with Only1Nikki.

Plus it's kinda refreshing to see a politian be themselves. Usually they're all so scripted and watching what they say.

  7. the amount of shit she gets from male leaders and politians as a powerful US woman must be staggering.
she gotta be tough to break down stereotypes and such.
we're lucky to live in the free world, but most women aren't.
and to add to that - look at the circumstances of where she was speaking. in the Congo women are still looked at as second class citizens. female castration is still rampant as well as controlling the women through rape. it's not outrageous to think that the question asked by the translator was the actual question asked given the circumstances. i woulda thought so (just like hilary) at the time.

  10. i'm tired of people allowing Hillary to be a raging bitch. yes we get it. you are smart you are a lawyer you are tough. that doesn't mean you can be a bitch to everyone you meet. if Condoleeza had snapped at someone this way all hell would have broken loose and she would be out of a job by the time her plane landed in Washington.

  11. Why she gotta be a bitch? She IS the secretary of state. Her husband doesn't even hold an office anymore. People should be looking to her to have the final answer. Except for the Pres. Obama of course!

  12. She better be glad she got a job at all as funky as her ass acted during the election. I would have gave her the finger and said holla.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm sure Hillary has seen more than her share of disrespectful and backwards ass sexism as SOS.
