Hillary keeps it gully

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had quite a strong reaction to an incorrectly translated question from the audience at a town hall in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The young lady in the audience asked what Sec. Clinton thought about the subject and also inquired of President Barack Obama's opinion on the matter. The translator, in her excitement, incorrectly asked what Mrs. Clinton's husband, former Pres. Bill Clinton, thought about the matter. Well, Sec. Clinton took offense to the question, pulled out her earphones, and put the woman in check in front of everyone. Now her supporters are doing a clean up job saying she was fatigued from the long overseas trip and that she later apologized, etc. I think we just got a glimpse of Hillary being Hillary. I do like her and admire her strength and gumption, but let's face it. She has never struck me as the warm and cuddly or pussyfooting type. If Hill is displeased, you know it immediately. C-Murder may get a second chance

Judge Hans Liljeburg has ruled the guilty verdict invalid in the murder trial of Corey "C-Murder" Miller. Miller is accused of killing Steve Thomas in 2002. His case has taken quite a few strange twists and turns. He has had his original attorney resign due to financial problems, has had a life sentence overturned by the Louisiana Supreme Court, and had a member of his entourage take responsibility for the killing. Miller could face 5 to 40 years in prison depending upon his final sentence.

LaToya Jackson continues to capitalize

LaToya Jackson continues to capitalize on her newfound fame since her brother Michael's death. In addition to the release of a new album, Toya has now been invited to join the cast of Dancing With the Stars. LaToya, who honestly did the whole Lil' Kim Black Barbie Doll transformation thing before there was a Lil' Kim, will follow in Lil' Kim's footsteps on the show, as well as those of Kim Kardashian, Vivica Fox, Tia Carrere, Emmit Smith, Master P, and Jerry Rice. LaToya's people will not confirm whether or not she has accepted, but the cast lineup for the ninth season of the series will be announced on Good Morning America on Monday, August 17th.

People are having second thoughts

about Reggie Bush's NFL future. Bush, who went second in the 2006 draft to the New Orleans Saints has had a career plagued by injuries and failure to live up to expectations. He has never gained more than 565 yards rushing in any of his three seasons and he is an inconsistent punt returner. At this point in his career, Bush is better known as Kim Kardashian's ex than as a football player. Hopefully with their breakup, he can get his mind of her assets and back on the game.

Tracey Morgan Files For Divorce

There were no laughs for comedian Tracy Morgan this past Friday, when he filed for a divorce from his high school sweetheart. The legal split, filed in Bronx Supreme Court, was no surprise to acquaintances of Morgan, who said he has been separated from his wife, Sabina, for about eight years.

"Basically they were divorced without the paperwork," one friend said. "It seems like he has had a different girlfriend every five months or so. In the past three years, I've met three girlfriends." Morgan, 40, was a regular on "Saturday Night Live" from 1996 to 2003. He plays the character Tracy Jordan on the Emmy award winning NBC comedy, "30 Rock."

Morgan and his wife have three sons together. They have been married for 23 years.

Singer/Actress Jennifer Hudson and her fiance, professional wrestler/law school graduate David Otunga, are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. David Daniel Otunga, Jr. was born yesterday weighing seven pounds fourteen ounces. Both mother and baby are doing well.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver has passed away

Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister of assassinated United States President John F. Kennedy, slain civil rights leader Robert F. Kennedy, and ailing Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy has passed away. Mrs. Shriver, 88, was a champion of the disabled and disenfranchised. Mrs. Shriver founded the International Special Olympics in 1968 to build societal acceptance of and self-esteem amongst the disabled persons of the world. Mrs. Shriver held a variety of government and service positions over the years; her famous brothers often said of her that out of all the Kennedy children, she would be the best suited to be the President of the United States. She leaves behind her daughter, Maria Shriver, the first lady of California, as well as four sons and her husband, Sargent Shriver.

Judge Sotomayor made history

Judge Sonia Sotomayor has made history as the country's first Hispanic Supreme Court justice. Judge Sotomayor was born in the Bronx, New York to Puerto Rican parents. She did her undergraduate studies at Michelle Obama's alma mater, Princeton University, and her law studies at the Clintons' law alma mater, Yale University School. At her swearing in on Saturday, August 8th, Judge Sotomayor became the 111th Supreme Court justice and only its third female judge.

Lisa Wu Hartwell and husband Ed reportedly had difficulty paying the mortgage on their (previously) $2.9 million Georgia mansion. The couple was in negotiations for a loan modification, however they were unable to strike a satisfactory deal with the lender. Their home went into foreclosure and was sold this month for $1.9 million. Reportedly, Ed and Lisa have bought another home on a 10 acre lot. I thought Bravo paid better than that?
