Katherine Jackson holds her first interview since Michael's death

Mrs. Katherine Jackson held a phone interview with Fox News' "Geraldo At Large" marking her first public statements since the death of her son, Michael Jackson. 79-year-old Jackson denied rumors that her husband, Joe, is exiled from the family compound and not permitted to see Michael's children.
"I don't know why they're saying he's not being allowed in the house," Katherine says. "My husband's never done nothing of the sort that they trying to say he did 39 years ago. I don't understand that, and I just believe it's something that they cooked up."
When asked if Joe was a good grandfather she replied, "Of course he is. And the children will tell you that he is."
Katherine also touched on the circumstances surrounding Michael's death saying, "All I know is that my son is dead, and I don't think he just died of natural causes or whatever," she says. "He's too young for that. Something happened, I don't know what it was and I can't say."
Frankly, I think Katherine is reluctant to admit Joe abused his children because that might point fingers at her as well. As for Joe not being in the home or seeing his grandchildren, that is more than evident. He does not live with her, he has his own thing going on, and he is not consulted with the majority of family decisions regarding Michael and his children. That does not sound like he is still the respected patriarch.

By the way, Michael should have gone to her surgeon because girlfriend looks fabulous for her age!

Corazon Aquino passed away this weekend

Tens of thousands of Filipinos lines the streets to bid farewell to the Phillippines' first female president, Corazon Aquino. Pres. Aquino passed away Saturday after a long battle with colon cancer. Mrs. Aquino came to power in 1986 following in the shoes of her slain husband, Benigno "Noy Noy" Aquino. Mrs. Aquino ran against dictator Ferdinand Marcos but lost amid voting irregularities and widespead cheating. A military coup then overthrew Marcos and sent him into exile, installing Aquino amongst widespread support from the Filipino population. The street demonstrations in which ordinary people formed a live blockade to protect the military mutineers and nuns knelt in front of tanks clutching the rosary began a wave of grassroots activism which spread across the globe; The Aquino-inspired uprising is credited as one of the inspirations behind the toppling of the Berlin Wall and the end of Communist isolation of East Germany, as well as serving as the model for other popular uprisings throughout Asia and the Soviet Union.

Remember when The Game made the news last year for beating down his own cousin at a relative's funeral? Robert Kirkwood claims The Game agreed to pay for a portion of his sister's funeral then reneged. Kirkwood approached him at the funeral and caught a whooping right then and there. Well, he and four others are being sued by that cousin for medical expenses, loss of income, and general damages. Too bad The Game's career has taken a long nosedive and that paper ain't stackin' like it used to. Kirkwood might end up with a half-empty can of Axe body spray and some used gold fronts.

After a successful premiere last Thursday night, reports are surfacing that the Atlanta housewives are still taking shots at each other. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” premiered to 2.7 million viewers and its rerun later that night attracted 4 million, easily making it the most watched show in the Bravo franchise. It seems that the reason these housewives are ratings gold is the real drama that keeps escalating to new levels.

Real Housewives of Atlanta" castmember Kim Zolciak spoke out to Entertainment Tonight about filing a police report against NeNe Leakes, who allegedly strangled Kim during a heated exchange (IN APRIL)-see police report here.

Kim's publicist tells ET: "The police report that has went public pertaining to my client Kim Zolciak and a serious physical altercation that was started by fellow housewife NeNe Leakes is a very serious matter that is still under investigation.

"Mrs. Leakes has now proven to the world that she is not the woman she claims. She has spoken publicly of being a former victim of domestic violence and her charity work to help others that have suffered the same. And then she would have such anger to choke my client instead of acting like a REAL woman and talking their personal conflicts out or simply walking away. Violence is a very serious issue and we are not going to be taking this incident lightly."

The internet is aflutter with rumors Nas may have another baby on the way. These rumors were further fanned by Kelis' twitter posts about 'cheaters' and such, nevermind that rumors ran rampant about Kelis cheating on Nas before and during their marriage. If Nas does have another baby on the way, does this make Kelis more sympathetic?

Queen Latifah and Jamie Foxx in New Movie

Queen Latifah, is teaming up with Jamie Foxx for a new movie. The duo will appear in New Line Cinema's “Valentine's Day,” a story that follows five different intertwining Valentine's Day stories. Jamie plays a TV Sports reporter that gets sent out on a Valentine's Day assignment and the Queen will play an agent for a football player played by actor, Eric Dane (I'm not making this up). The two will be part of an all-star cast that includes Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher and Emma Roberts. The film is in production in Los Angeles.

Latifah is currently filming her new film "Just Wright" in NYC and is also set to star in several projects still in development including “Truck Turner”, “Welfare Queen” and “All of Me.” Her new CD Persona is due in August. The lead single for the album will be “Cue The Rain.” It features production from Dr. Dre and reportedly features Missy Elliot.

A Black Man is Running for Public Office in Russia

Joaquim Crima, an immigrant from the African nation of Guinea Bissau, is running for District Chief of the Volgograd District. Crima, who immigrated at the end of the cold war and has studied at Volgograd University, earned his citizenship, and taken a Russian name, is the first Black man to run for public office in Russia. News reports paint a picture of widespread discrimination against African immigrants in the former Soviet nation. Crima hopes to change that one vote at a time. Obama's legacy is far-reaching indeed.

Nia Long backs up off that

In a recent interview with actress Nia Long, an interviewer asked Long what she thought about Beyonce's recent comic blockbuster, Obsessed. The magazine quoted Nia as saying, “I didn’t see Obsessed, so I can’t comment, but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate...When you see certain people… they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes.’”

The Papa Shady machine has started turning its gears, and now Pride editors are scrambling to clean up the blood on the dancefloor. They have released a statement saying, “Pride would like to apologise for the fact that editing of the final article may have left Nia’s comments open to tabloid manipulation...As Europe’s premier publication for the woman of colour, Pride seeks only to celebrate the achievements of celebrities such as Nia Long and Beyonce Knowles, and hope no offence has been caused through the media speculation.”

T.I. and Grand Hustle to Produce Video Game

Through a venture with Heatwave Interactive game studio and online publisher, it has been announced that rapper T.I. and Grand Hustle label members will be appearing in the game Platinum Life.

T.I.'s role in the online game is to act as a guide for players in the ashy to classy lifestyle as he will lead them in the journey from a struggling musician that only has a dream into a successful artist with millions as far as the mind can comprehend (yo' ass do go to jail for awhile at some point).

The game's background is set in the Hip-Hop world as the player begins as an unsigned act and must make the necessary steps to achieve their celebrity status. It can be thought of as The Sims for the rap game. Players will be asked to perform at local bars and clubs and essentially hustle their way to the top of the game.

It seems as though even with the King away in prison, he is still making sure that his name is still in the back of everyone's mind until he makes his return.

Along with the upcoming game, T.I. is also set to appear in the film "Takers" alongside Matt Dillon, Chris Brown and Idris Elba. The film is a crime thriller about a Los Angles detective that is on the verge of diffusing a plan made by thieves who are trying to carry out a $20 million heist. The release date is set for January 8.

Sisqo Deadbeat Dad

After six years in court, and with Sisqo refusing to take a paternity test, a court in Switzerland has determined HE IS the presumed father of a 9-year-old boy and was ordered to pay support. He is believed to have fathered the child in 1999. According to the mother, who is black and lives in Switzerland, she and her friends met Sisqo while he was performing with Dru Hill at a concert in Zurich in 1999. They had a one night stand when she was 14. When the child was six, the woman contacted Sisqo via his Web site and e-mailed him a photo of the little boy. She said Sisqo remembered who she was, but didn't acknowledge the child. Legal proceedings then began, but with him here and her way over there it maybe difficult for her to collect.
